What do I do if I have a thick accent?

Posted · 1 Comment

Today’s Question –

Question of the day –
What if I have an accent. Will American girls think that is a turn off? Also I seem to get ‘AMOG’d’ when I am not speaking English like a native.”

Advice –
First off, thanks so much for the question. If you watch the video you know that I have a story with all of this. I am also making this video as a shout out to my Asian friends at Asian PUA. Come on the Venusian Arts Forum and get into the conversation there!

The number one thing I would say to do is EMPOWER yourself. Stop changing yourself for what you think works, and start OWNING who you are. If someone is having trouble understanding you, say it.

“Hey guys, I don’t speak english very well, but I really wanted to talk to you. When was the last time you meet someone that you couldn’t communicate verbally with, but you ended up really connecting?”

“Oh man, I forgot I was in America, people are afraid of an accent. That’s ok I don’t bite…Where is your family from?”

“Sometimes people say they have trouble understanding me, but I thought foreign accents were, hot…in fact that is why I love American girls. To the Asian ear your voice sounds like a symphony.”

the Second piece of advice is far more important. You’re never going to get anywhere if you don’t value yourself. I know in Pick they talk a lot about ‘Social Value’. Use it if you got it…but let’s make 1 thing very clear – Once you’re isolated all you need to care about is connection. Anybody can have a connection…white girls, Asian men, and even hapa dudes like me.

So talk to more white women and know the number 1 tool you have is YOUR PIRDE!

One Response to "What do I do if I have a thick accent?"
  1. Getting rid of your accent is a really bad advice. I have a Russian accent, since I emigrated to Canada only a few years ago. And I also had a problem with the language barrier, Toronto is actually is not a bad place to be with an accent, since more than 50% of the population was born outside of Canada. I didn’t have a lot of problems talking with immigrants, but when I met someone with a native level of English I was paralyzed, I would start to think on the grammar, I would think people judge me etc.

Once I met a guy who’s level of English was much worse than mine and who had a much stronger accent, but he was the heart of the company and could talk on any topic, and the whole room would listen to him. Some time later I met an Asian guy with a very heavy accent, and I was shocked when he invited me to his weekly stand-up comedy show.

I had to re-evaluate my attitude to my accent. Now this is my feature, this is something girls love, this is how I stand out. Sometimes I even exaggerate it. I always have an excuse if I use the “wrong” word to steer the conversation into a more sexual direction.

And if you think about it from the evolutionary point, women look for new genes to diversify the immune system of their off-springs. This is why we all are sexually more attracted to someone who is rather different from us.

I dont need to acknowledge it, I dont need to explain it. My accent is my instrument of seduction. And I am proud of it. As well as my different culture, that “explains” why when I meet girls I hug them and kiss 3 times, as if it is a Russian tradition. What do they know, anyway?

    Stay beautiful,
